LengerichLengerich near the Teutoburger forest in the district Steinfurt is my home town. I grew up with the care of several important persons - my parents, my aunt, uncle, and grandparents from my fathers side, my aunt and grandmother from my mothers side, and after my parents divorce when I was 13, the support of many good friends. Although my childhood was sometimes not that uncomplicated, I still look back on these days as good days. Many connections still exist with friends back from these days - friends for life! When I was 17, it became obvious that my sexual preferences were definitely centered on the same sex. In the following years I came out to family and friends - and I thank everyone for their unconditional support and accepting me as the person I am. With so many supporting and caring people around me I was able to be the person I am and not hide an important part of my personality and pretend to be somebody who I am not. Lengerich was also the place where I met my first real love - music! I started playing piano when I was 8 years old and will never forget these times and what it gave me - with 17 I conducted the school choir for nearly 4 years, organized together with other young musicians benefit concerts, and had the great opportunity to play a piano concert together with an orchestra (Mozart's piano concerto No. 15). Most of my family is still alive and we keep in close contact - I try to visit them at least once a year and - thanks to the new technologies - long telephone calls don't cost a fortune any longer. My last trip together with Bob in summer 2006 was great - we spent some time visiting my relatives and enjoyed the excellent cuisine of my aunt. In addition, two good friends of mine (Alexandra and Arnfried) got married and I had the honor of being the best man. Information about the district Steinfurt:
